Product Introduction

Precipitated Barium Sulfate M-series products, when added as extender pigments to coatings and inks, can synergistically disperse pigments, reduce pigment usage, and improve efficiency. They also increase solids content, reduce VOCs content, and offer advantages such as high gloss and good thixotropy. When used as fillers and reinforcing agents in plastic and rubber products, they can improve chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and thermal stability, while maintaining good compatibility with resins and preserving various mechanical properties.

Product Applications

Plastics and Rubber

Good Filling Properties: Low oil absorption, good dispersibility, and good flowability, increasing filler capacity and reducing costs.

Enhanced Mechanical Strength: Improves the tensile and impact strength of plastics, making them harder and more durable.

High filling capacity: The addition of barium sulfate reduces the overall dimensional expansion of the material during temperature changes, improving the dimensional stability of plastics.

Improved Surface Properties: By using barium sulfate, the surface gloss and smoothness of plastic products can be improved, giving them a better appearance.

Cost Reduction and Efficiency Enhancement: Color pastes modified with the M-series products maintain extremely high gloss and rheological properties even at high concentrations (e.g., due to barium sulfate’s high whiteness, good gloss, and high hiding power, adding 10% M-700 barium sulfate to white pastes, compounded with titanium dioxide, reduces costs, increases efficiency, and improves product performance).
