Product Introduction
Aluminum sulfate is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula Al2(SO4)3 and a gray-green granules or powder in appearance. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, and non-flammable, has a certain irritating effect on the eyes and mucous membranes. Aluminum sulfate reacts with water in water to decompose into aluminum ions and aluminum hydroxide colloids, which can eliminate the repulsive force between fine suspended solids, so that the specific gravity of suspended particles in the water is greater than 1, so as to precipitate to the bottom of the water.
Scope of application
- As a flocculant, aluminum sulfate can make fine particles and natural colloid particles in water condense into large flocs after dissolving in water, thus removing them from water.
- In the fire industry, it forms a foam fire extinguishing agent with baking soda and foaming agent.
- Used for phosphorus removal of biochemical sewage and industrial sewage.
- Used for the treatment of high-concentration sulfide sewage.
- In the fuel industry, it is used as a precipitant in the production of chrome yellow and lake dyes, and also acts as a color fixer and filler.
- Production of other aluminum salts: A basic raw material for manufacturing chemical products such as polyaluminum chloride (PAC) and alumina.
- Mordant in the printing and dyeing industry: Helps dyes adhere better to fibers, improving color fastness and brightness.
- Clarifying agent in the oil and fat industry: Used in the refining of animal and vegetable oils to remove gums and impurities, making them clear and transparent.

Usage
Inject tap water at room temperature into the dissolving tank, add aluminum sulfate, the ratio of aluminum sulfate to tap water is 1:5~2:5, mix and stir until the uniform light green liquid is used, and then add water to dilute to the required concentration after complete dissolution. During flocculation treatment, the dosage of aluminum sulfate is generally 5~50 mgL, and the dosage can be increased to 90~110 mgL for phosphorus removal.
Packaging, storage and transportation
Solids are 50Kg woven bags, liquids are transported in 25Kg drums or tankers. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources.
It should be stored separately from the oxidant and should not be mixed. The storage stability period of this product is 12 months.
